Birdscaping with Native Plants

Wednesday, August 16, 2017 - 1:30pm to 2:30pm

Do you enjoy watching the birds in your yard?  Would you like to have more of them in your yard without having to purchase additional bird seed?  Then attend this presentation and learn what you can do to provide more habitat for the birds using native plants. Birdscaping is fun, rewarding and oh! so beautiful. Program will be held in Conference Room ABC.

Presenter Donna VanBuecken was charter president of FVAC and continues to serve as Dig Coordinator for FVAC and Outagamie County Dig Chair.  Donna has a construction background and is a long time gardening enthusiast. She has been a member of Wild Ones since 1986 and recently retired as the first Executive Director for national Wild Ones. She and her husband John watch over a small 1/3 acre restored prairie in their backyard and a restored woodland in their side yard. They feel privileged to have mature Burr Oaks and Shagbark Hickories as part of their landscaping.  Donna and her brothers also own an 80-acre cedar swamp in the Town of Seneca that they use for hunting and meditating.
