Bring your favorite stuffed animal to the library for pajama storytime. Listen to bedtime stories, make a craft together, then leave them overnight for a sleepover! What will our stuffed animal friends get up to when all the humans go home?. Pick up your animal (and a photo of their library adventure) the next day. 

 

Registration begins September 17. Space is limited. Register by October 1. This event is best for preschoolers but siblings are welcome to attend storytime.

It's a No School Day! Spend it with us at our  a 1v1 switch tournament!   The library has switches, but you may bring your own controller if you prefer.  Ages 18 and under.  3 stock tournament.  Best of 1 if high registration otherwise best of 3. 

Early registration starting 9/20 is recommended, but not required. Call or stop in to sign up.

Saturday, October 5, 2019 - 9:00am to 10:00am

Join us for our Costume Swap! Starting at 9:00a, anyone with a ticket can enter the costume swap event! How do you get a ticket? Bring in a costume for the swap starting September 3th for your pre-event entry ticket or you can bring a costime to swap that morning for early entry. At 10:00a, anyone can enter the event to take a costume until supplies run out or until 1:00p. This event is dependent on donations.  Will be held in conference room ABC.

Details:  No wigs, headbands, or makeup, please.  We are looking for clean, gently used costumes for the swap. Each person present is eligible for one costume. 

Saturday, October 5, 2019 - 10:00am to 1:00pm

Join us for our Costume Swap! Starting at 10:00a anyone can take any costume of their choice out of the room, no swapping necessary!  But, if you do donate an old costume that morning before 10:00a or in advance, you will receive a ticket to enter the event at 9:00a for first choice of swap!  We will begin accpeting donations at our service desks on September 3rd. This 30 minute musical storytime is perfect for your preschooler. Enjoy stories set to music, play musical instruments, and more!

Registration is required for each child ages 3-5 attending. Registration begins on the date listed for each class:

October 9 - registration begins 9/25

November 13 - registration begins 10/30

December 11 - registration begins 11/27

Join us one Thursday of each month for Lego Lab.  Each month we will feature a different building activity.  Each activity will include a brief presentation on the featured construction tied to STEM.  Themes may include: patterns, inventions, bridges, robots, homes, animals and more!  For students in grades K-5. Meets in Conference ABC.

Let's get to know this American pioneer/nurseryman - a true hero of American folklore!

This class is intended for school-age students and up. Please dress for the weather as we may be spending time outdoors. Class will be held at 1,000 Islands Environmental Center.

Registration required and begins 10/8. To register, stop by the service desk or call 766-6340 (press for service desk). Registration is only for this specific class. To participate in other classes in this series, please register when our registration dates open.

  • Get to Know Our Wisconsin State Parks: High Cliff State Park - November 19. Registration begins 11/5.
  • Get to Know Our Wisconsin State Parks: Devil's Lake State Park - December 17. Registration begins 12/3.
Saturday, October 26, 2019 - 9:00am to 1:00pm

Starting September 3th, the Library will be collecting donations of gently used, clean coats and snow pants for kids and adults. We are also accepting brand new hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves for those in need. We are looking for items for all ages, including infant winter snowsuits through adult size coats and snow pants. On the day of the event, families in need are encouraged to attend and fit their children with appropriate winter gear anytime between 9:00a-1:00p or until supplies run out.

 

The event is dependent on donations.  Will be held in conference room ABC.

Monday, October 28, 2019 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Happy Halloween! Come dress up in your Halloween best! We will be reading some Halloween stories, singing and dancing while wearing our costumes, and making a Halloween craft! This program is best for preschoolers, but siblings are always welcome. Held in Conference ABC.

Jeff Kinney's Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Wrecking Ball will be released on November 5th! We're celebrating Greg's latest adventure with a party!
