KAUKAUNA NEWSPAPER INDEX

The Kaukauna Newspaper Index contains references to a selective list of articles appearing in various Kaukauna newspapers.  Indexing begins in 1880 and continues to the present, though coverage in the 1950s is not comprehensive.  The index is maintained by Kaukauna Public Library staff & volunteers and is updated regularly. 

How to Search:

Type in any word or words and click search.  On the following page you will be able to limit the search by decade or by article type.  If you are looking for an article that had a photograph, check the Contains Photo box.  Remember that this is just and index containing the headline, date, and selected subjects terms.  It is usually best to start with a simple one or two word serach.  To limit your search to a specific year, you can type the year in the search box next to your search word(s).

How to get a copy of an article:

Once the date of an article is located the article can be found using the library collection which includes the indexed newspapers on microfilm with the current year in hard copy.  This can either be done in person, by mail, or by email.  Please send email requests to kaulib@kaukauna-wi.org.

Requests received by mail or email must include:

  •  A mailing address to send the photocopies
  • The date and subject of each article

In accordance wtih library policy, offsite requests made for reproductions of microfilmed newspaper articles in the Kaukauna Public Library collection will be charged $1.00 per article plus $.10 per page for photocopying or printing and all mailing costs.
