fairy house

The Kaukauna Public Library and 1,000 Islands Nature Center present the annual Fairy Walk sponsored by Kaukauna Utilities, August 18th from 5pm-8pm. Families are invited to explore various activities at their own pace at the time that works best for them. Registration is required for fairy house entry.

The event includes a dragonfly themed Storybook Walk on the boardwalk, the Fairy House Walk in the butterfly garden, a fairy scavenger hunt along the walking trail, crafts, music and bubbles, and more! This fun event is free thanks to our generous sponsors!

Families can  submit a fairy house built of only natural materials prior to the event. Participants at the event then enjoy a stroll in the butterfly garden to see and vote for their favorite fairy house. The winners of the competition will receive either a $30, $20, or $10 gift card when the winners are announced at 7:45p at the event.
